Every dot is a club plotted at its own recorded coordinates. There is no basemap underneath — these are the islands themselves, each one placed by the clubs recorded on it. 247 clubs sit on 128 distinct points at this scale; where several share an address or a street they land on the same dot.

How this list was assembled

  1. One Overpass query per country, so a club's country is known by construction and never inferred.
  2. Anything that is ground rather than an organisation — a pitch, a court, a municipal pool — is dropped. 235 records did not survive that test.
  3. Records sharing a name within 250 m are merged as one venue, keeping the richer copy — 6 here.
  4. Each club is matched to the nearest named town inside its own country, capped by settlement size, or left unassigned.
  5. Nothing is ranked, weighted or promoted. No club can pay to move.
region = the query it came from (certain)
town = nearest named place, same region, within cap
rank    = none

No club paid to be on this page. That is the whole idea.
